In 2022, we were asked to write a show for the performing arts students at Isaac's alma mater of The Minster School in Southwell, Nottinghamshire.
We then began to develop an idea that we'd had for a while, which was a song cycle based on the keepsakes and belongings that we choose (or choose not) to hold on to; those mementos in every persons' life that tell us the story of who they were.
This idea soon came to be a song cycle, appropriately-named, Belongings.
The finalé of the show was a song entitled 'Home', that was featured as part of the New York Musical Festival in 2019, and later became a finalist in the Stiles and Drewe Best New Song Prize in 2020. The song, performed by Louise Dearman, can be found below.
