This song is from Tanya, a show about a girl who desperately wants to fit in with the other fake-tanned, glam Essex girls. She works as a bottler in a tanning factory and as a result, has permanently stained hands, which makes her paleness even more obvious. When she has to deliver a message to her crush, Brad, she puts on a face mask to hide her paleness and he only sees her super fake-tanned hands, causing him to fall head over heels in love with her. Returning back to work, she finds a love letter from Brad stuffed in one of the tan bottles and becomes extremely excited, dreaming about a future life with Brad. Throughout the song she has to repeatedly tell herself to calm down and ‘bottle’ her feelings.

This song was a finalist for the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Prize in 2020, where the song was performed by Lizzie Bea (Heathers, Hairspray). You can watch the performance here.
